Blobbicure is first theme for Nail That Technique Challenge, starting this week. When I first saw blobbicure nails on IG, my first impression was they look like Giraffe skin print. So i decided to do Blobbicure Giraffe nails today.
Some of the nail art techniques will be new to me. I will have to do some research and learn from internet. So I have created a new tab on my blog to maintain record of all the new techniques i am gonna attempt. I decided to write this post in FAQ. format. This will help me maintain notes for my reference about various nail art techniques i learn in the process.

A. It takes between 5 to 10 minutes to complete blobbicure. (Depending upon which and how many nail polishes you use)
Pros and Cons of Blobbicure nails technique?
Pros: Very easy to do, less time consuming, no special tools required, looks good on small as well long nails, suitable for beginner levels as well.
Cons.: 1. If the nail polishes are too runny or not a quick dry one blobbicure may take some time to dry.
2. The dots are free flow so we have no control on how end result will it shape.
Tips and Tricks for blobbicure nails:
A. 1. The blobs will spread with wet base nail polish, so we need to work one nail at a time.
2. Dry Time: To reduce dry time, use quick dry polishes. We can also avoid first base coat and directly start with thick coat of base color.
3. Shape of blobs: Although we can not control what shape blobs. Here are some tricks i learnt while working on blobbicure, to achieve better results.
a. Circular dots. If you want the blobs to shape up more like circular dots – Apply thin layer of base coat. or Wait for base coat to settle for 10-15 seconds then start putting small blobs of another nail color. When the base layer is settled the blobs spread less wider and we can achieve circular dots more easily by placing small drops closer.
b. Mosaic shape: For blobs to spread mosaic (pebble) shape to create animal print or stained glass look – Apply thick layer of base nail color. Start dropping blobs of next color immediately. Since the base coat is too wet, the blobs spread wider giving more control to create mosaics. We can control size of mosaics with placement of next blobs.
-When you want to create end minute manicure or
– Have no special tool but only nail polishes you can create fun nail art using blobbicure nail art technique.
