Sharing today my Chinese New Year Nails. Chinese New Year is an important Chinese festival celebrated at the turn of the Chinese calendar. In China, it is also known as the Spring Festival, the literal translation of the modern Chinese name. Chinese New Year celebrations traditionally run from Chinese New Year’s Eve, the last day of the last month of the Chinese calendar, to the Lantern Festival on the 15th day of the first month, making the festival the longest in the Chinese calendar. It falls between January 21 and February 20. Because the Chinese calendar is lunisolar, and because the holiday is not solely observed by “Chinese” cultures, the Chinese New Year is often referred to as the “Lunar New Year”. Lacquer Lust : Forbidden Fruit
Doctor Lacquer – Carotene – Golden yellow Jelly holo from Kaleidoscope collection
Maybelline Color Show – Bold Gold for stamping
Seche Vite Top coat
Stamping Plate – Moyou London Pro Collection 01, Suki Collection 01
My Chinese new year nails include various elements of festival like Lanterns, Fan, Sakura flowers with owl, bamboo tree and Snake. For this Chinese new year nails, I have designed 3D Chinese fan using Reverse Stamping decal.
Then I applied Lacquer Lust Forbidden fruit’s coat over it.
Once it was dry, i removed the decal and cut it in shape of fan.
Then applied Doctor Lacquer Carotene as base on middle finger nail. Applied decal onto semi wet, making pleats in between to create 3D fan look.
On rest of the nails, i applied lacquer lust Forbidden fruit as base. And stamped designs using Maybelline Color show bold gold.
