Today I am sharing a guest post by acidicice – An adorable Pink Leopard Skittle nail art.
Hi everyone! I’m acidicice and I live in Cape Town, South Africa. I met Alps in a nail group that we are part of on Facebook and I’m so honoured that I get to take over her blog for the day. She is such a talented lady I hope I can measure up!
We decided to do guest posts for each other and didn’t set any guidelines so I had free reign. I know Alps is a big fan of 3D nail art and I considered trying something like that, but sometimes it is just best to leave certain things to those that are good at it. So for this post I decided to do me. I hit Pinterest and found a mani I pinned and haven’t gotten around to trying (*ahem* my entire Pinterest board still needs trying) and I found
something I liked. I changed the colors up to suit my own style and this is what I came up with:
I started off with a Tip Top base coat to protect my nails. I painted 2 coats of Sinful Colors Sugar ‘n Spice on all my nails except my ring nail. On my ring nail I painted 2 coats of Tip Top Black Forest. Over the black I dabbed one coat of essence Lovely, maybe. This is such a pretty glitter and looks great on both dark and light colours. On my middle nail I used China Glaze Dance Baby to make random spots and used Sinful Colors Black on Black and a small dotting tool to complete the leopard print design. On my index and pinkie nails I placed some 2 mm round and square studs to tie it all together. Everything was sealed in with a coat of Seche Vite.
Thanks so much for having me on your blog today Alps! I really hope all your readers liked my manicure. Please let us know in the comments below 🙂 If you would like to see more of my work you can find me on my blog, Instagram, facebook and twitter.
