Learn how to do DIY Nail Applique – Plaid nails / Basket Weave Nail Art just using 2 Polishes. Plaid nails is classic nail design for short nails.

Tweezer, Metal Filer/ Orange wood stick/ Cuticle Pusher
Plastic sheet – Sandwitch bag, zip lock bag
Apply 2-3 thick coats of nail polish over a plastic sheet. Let it dry over night. Size of nail applique base here is 2cm x 2cm
With the help of metal filer and ruler, create lines on the dried swatch of nail polish.
Cut thin stripes of 2mm width.
Plaid design Weaving:
Stick one side of stripes on any surface with scotch tape.
Continue Weaving :
Lift 1, 3 and 5 stripes and insert horizontal strip to start weaving.
Lift alternate stripes, 2, 4 and 6 and insert another horizontal strip.
Continue weaving lifting alternate stripes.
Finished Nail Applique:
Apply a coat of polish and Stick weaved nail applique on the wet polish. Press the nail applique with the help of orange wood stick or cuticle pusher and set it according to nail size.
Cut the extra from sides.
